Greenpeace released their sixth Cool IT Leaderboard, which evaluated the top 21 IT and telecom firms that prioritize energy solutions to climate change as a core aspect of their business model. Read more

6. US Integrated Reporting Study

United Nations Environment Programme published a report presenting sources of mercury emissions to air and water, estimates of anthropogenic emissions to air from various sources based on data from 2010 and estimates for releases to aquatic environment. Read more

2. Asian Water Development Outlook 2013

Asian Development Bank, together with Asia Pacific Water Forum and Global Water Partnership published the second edition of the Asian Water Development Outlook (AWDO), delivering the first quantitative and comprehensive view of water security in the countries of Asia and the Pacific. Read more

3. REDD Community Forestry Report

Amazonas Sustainable Foundation (FAS) with support from the National Forestry Agency International (ONFI) produced a report which presents information, analyses and conclusions on issues relevant to the design and implementation of REDD+ (Reduced Emissions from Deforestation and Forest Degradation) strategies in five African countries in the Congo basin and Madagascar. Read more

4. Hormone-Disrupting Chemicals Study

United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) and WHO published a study on the global status of scientific knowledge on exposure to and effects of endocrine disrupting chemicals (EDCs). Read more

CSR Europe released a report that aims to enhance joint learning on the business implications of the UN Guiding Principles on Business & Human Rights (“the UNGPs”) and to support companies in their implementation. Read more

5. Aiding and Abetting: How Unaccountable Fair Trade Certifiers are Destroying Workers’ Rights

The International Labor Rights Forum released a report that describes how certification bodies, paid directly by brands, can harm efforts by workers to unionize rather than help them. Read more

2. Accounting for Sustainability: Practical Insights (Anthony Hopwood, Jeffrey Unerman and Jessica Fries)

This book is an attempt to encourage the practice of CSR by proposing a “Connected Reporting Framework” and showing examples of how this has been applied in several organisations including Sainsbury’s, EDF Energy, BT, HSBC and others.
